Some recent shots from the Noosa river mouth.
This series is something I've been looking at doing for some time now but there just hasn't been the conditions to make it possible. I find looking down on the coast so mesmerising & inspiring, its such a thing of beauty to witness the ocean constantly changing its form creating a perpetual dance of light & shadows. I will be releasing collections of prints in future as I feel they really complement each other on a wall or throughout an office or house.
Here is the first collection called the "Surf Series" & to celebrate I am offering 8x12 Inch prints at $49 & 12x18 Inch prints at $99 for a limited time. These are printed on Kodak Endura Metallic photographic paper & I just love the way they look. Heres a quick video showing some of the first orders which came in today-
So.... I've gone & bought my self a drone & I love it. I love it so much it's been 3 weeks since I've picked up my Nikon & taken a photo from the ground. This is something I have become extremely passionate about & I can see a big future in this industry.
There are new drone laws coming in on the 29th of September which allow people like me to sell the photos I take in the sky so long as some guidelines have been followed. Before this a week long course was mandatory to get a licence if you were to profit from flying a drone. While this is still necessary for larger drones above 2kgs I think it's a positive change, although I still think people flying these things should require some kind of training before flying near anybody, they can just be so dangerous in the hands of somebody inexperienced.
I will be sharing a lot more content now these laws have been introduced & regular (usually daily) updates on my instagram account https://instagram.com/p/BKsfpAtjv9n/ . I will still be getting my operators licence as I plan to buy a much larger drone for taking up an array of different camera equipment.

We've certainly had some crazy conditions on the east coast lately with some of the biggest surf we've seen in a long time. Heres a few snaps from Coolum Beach.
An intense storm cell rolls through Peregian Beach. I noticed this flashing coming from the back yard & couldn't believe how many times it was striking, it must have been 5-10 strikes per second. I rushed straight down to the beach to get a better view & was blown away by the shear intensity of this storm cell. I managed to stand there for nearly 3 hours constantly hitting the trigger as it rolled passed me & headed out to sea. It was something Ill never forget & I'm so glad I was able to witness & capture such a beautiful moment from mother nature.
We named this shot "Unleash" after one of our customers contacted us for a print of this storm. It just happened to roll through on the same day she started her new Real Estate business. What an amazing way to commemorate a new beginning in her life.
Ive only ever been lucky enough maybe twice to be able to get shots as a storm has just passed & the sun is setting. As a photographer Its absolutely electrifying clicking away in these conditions, its almost like you just can't take a bad shot! When I think back to taking this photo It immediately reminds me of the excitement & adrenalin I was feeling that day. I love taking photos, but its days like these that truly lights my soul & makes me feel "Alive".
